Brief Profile Professor Shashi K. Dhiman
Professor Shashi K. Dhiman is the First Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur. He has attained his High School Education from Purba (Palampur), Bachelor’s Science from D.A.V. College, Kangra, Master of Science in Physics, Master of Philosophy and Doctorate of Philosophy in Nuclear Sciences from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He has published many research papers and review articles in peer refereed International and National Research Journals and presented his research work in many National and International Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, etc. He has guided many students for their Ph.D. and M.Phil Degrees, thesis. Professor Shashi K. Dhiman has acted as Principal Investigator/Project Co-ordinator for many research projects being funded by University Grants Commission, Department of Science and Technology, Board Research in Nuclear Sciences, Department of Atomic Energy. etc.
He held permanent teaching and research faculty position in Indira Gandhi National Open University, School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Before joining as first Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, Prof. Shashi K. Dhiman was Director, University Institute of Information Technology, Chairman, Department of Physics, H.P. University, Shimla. He is member of Regional Committee, North West AICTE, Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Board, Governing Council of Academic Staff College, H.P. University, Board of Study, Kashmir University, Srinagar. He has been a member of many academic bodies of Himachal Pradesh University and various other Universities in the country. He has visited many Universities and Institutions of higher learning in India and foreign countries including, Institute of Nuclear Theory, University of Washington, Seattle U.S.A. as Visiting Professor, The University Brimingham United Kingdom as Visiting Scientist.
